The event is being held in conjunction with the Center and will feature a lively mix of songs along with tasty appetizers for you to enjoy. The committee met with representative groups of long- time SCC members, newer members, other Swedish-American Immediate organizations, and non-members familiar with the organization. We are still in the planning stages of new fencing for the East parking lot , as well as doing some exterior clean up of the property, in general. Some of the projects might lap over into September, so if you have some interest in volunteering you can call me. Speaking of volunteers, we are still in need of receptionists. We do have some activities line up for this month that will be fun. Remember the Swedish Pancake Breakfast will be on September 9 because of the holiday weekend on the first Sunday of the month. On Thursday night, September 6, we have old time Swedish vaudeville at 7:00 pm in the Stockholm Hall — a “free will” donation is requested, to cover expenses. In the same room, the following night at 6:30 pm, we WEDNESDAY, will be holding the SACC’s Crayfish Dinner and Silent Auction. This has September 12, 2007 always been a really fun event and includes singing, dancing, drinking and, of course, Crayfish; you can make your reservations by calling Social 6:00 pm (206) 622-5640.
