Water fog may be used to help Unsuitable extinguishing media : cool containers to help minimize pressure build up. Avoid small, closed and unventilated areas. High power water jet. Additional information : Use water spray/stream to protect personnel and to cool endangered containers. Use a water spray jet to knock down vapors/gases/mists. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel along the ground to sources of ignition. Exposure to temperatures over 50º C / 122º F may cause cans to burst. Reports have been made of ignition from pilot lights, heaters, an others, after vapors have been moved by ventilating fans. Exploding cans may travel great distances spewing burning materials. Contamined fire-fighting water must be collected separately. Do not empty into drains or the aquatic environment. In case of fire and/or explosion do not breathe fumes. Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency p rocedures : Remove all sources of ignition. Provide adequate ventilation.
