Visit our Web Site: www.wvlo.org; E-mail: [email protected]; A Note from the Director ccording to Webster’s dictionary, the definition of the word “entertain- ing” is: amusing, enjoyable, pleasurable, hilarious, charming, humorous, Aengaging, compelling, interesting, comical and witty. While there have been many musicals written with wonderful, heartfelt, and loving messages, “Crazy For You” has just one message; to be entertaining. There is no major underlying message here other than the creators of this musical just wanted the audience to sit back in the theater and be taken away for a couple of hours from their hectic lives. This musical has the music and lyrics written by the incredible and talented duo of George and Ira Gershwin. Today, where are songs like: “I’ll Build A Staircase To Paradise”, “Embraceable You”, “Bidin’ My Time”, “Slap That Bass”, “They Can’t Take That Away From Me”, “Someone To Watch Over Me”, “Nice Work If You Can Get it” and “I Got Rhythm”, just to name a few? Well, this is what you’re about to hear! So let us take you on a journey where the plot is simple, but the music and lyrics have been memorable for decades. We, the staff, crew and cast are Crazy For You to have a fun time!! She loved singing and was thrilled to portray a nun in our 2011 produc- tion of “The Sound Of Music”. We will truly miss her beautiful voice, smile and positive attitude that she brought to our cast, crew, staff and volunteers. She battled cancer for several months and now she is singing in the great Heavenly choir with her Lord Jesus Christ. Rest in peace, Lynn! 3 SYNOPSIS OF SCENES & MUSICAL NUMBERS ACT ONE Overture .
