On 20 June 2012 at 2200 hours, in the vicinity of Sahnaya, an armed terrorist group stole a car, licence plate No. 273973, belonging to the Military Installations Establishment, from its driver, a civilian employee, Ahmad al-Akhras. 2. On 20 June 2012 at 2230 hours, an armed terrorist group planted three explosive devices in the vicinity of a law enforcement checkpoint located 1 km east of Talfita. 3. On 20 June 2012 at 2300 hours, an armed terrorist group blocked the international highway at the Tayyibah rest stop in Nabk. 4. At 0700 hours, an armed terrorist group near the Four Seasons hotel in the Sahnaya area opened fire on a vehicle transporting a number of officers. 5. At 0800 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement personnel in Jisrayn, wounding one officer. 6. At 0800 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a military barracks in the area of Rayhan. 7. At 0830 hours, an armed terrorist group abducted two law enforcement officers in Ruhaybah. 8. At 0930 hours, an armed terrorist group attacked a military barracks in Ruhaybah, killing Colonel Yahya Shantir and First Lieutenant Fu'ad Manna and abducting 39 soldiers. 9. At 1100 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a law enforcement checkpoint in Kafr Batna. 10. At 1200 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on and threw explosive devices at law enforcement personnel in Ma‘damiyah. 11. At 1400 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire from the direction of Abb bridge, Ghanam Square and Jala' Street on law enforcement personnel at the Baldiyah roundabout in Duma. 12. In the city of Harasta, an armed terrorist group stole a Government motorcycle, licence plate No. 2249 (Damascus), belonging to Rif Dimashq Electricity in Misraba. 13. In the city of Nabk, armed men were observed in more than one location on the international highway. Traffic was diverted into Nabk, and law enforcement officers confronted the armed men. 14. In the city of Darayya, armed terrorists riding in a dark blue jeep, licence plate number unknown, stole a Government Mazda microbus, licence plate No. 553047 2 12-55383 S/2012/494 (Damascus), belonging to the Public Printing Press Establishment, from its driver, Nasib Taha. 15. In the city of Duma, four armed terrorists stole a Hyundai vehicle, licence plate No. 156950 (Damascus), from its driver, Ahmad Mahmud Khalil (born 1966). 16. In Harasta, an armed terrorist group stole a Fiat truck, licence plate No. 892012 (Damascus), from its driver, Walid al-Zarbah. The truck, which contained 600 empty gas cylinders, belongs to the Syrian Company for the Storage of Petroleum Products. 17. The body of a civilian, Khalid Muhammad Khabbaz (born 1971), was found west of the Harasta highway. 18. In the city of Duma, an armed terrorist group stole a Ministry of Housing Mazda 929 vehicle, licence plate No. 670227 (Damascus) that had been signed out to engineer Asim Shahhadah. 19. The body, bearing a gunshot wound, of an unidentified person in his thirties was found in the Barada River in Kafr Batna. 20. In the city of Darayya, six armed terrorists riding in a stolen Government car stole a Government Mazda microbus, licence plate No. 885165 (Damascus), belonging to the Ayn Fijah General Water Establishment. 21. In the city of Darayya, five armed terrorists stole a 30-passenger Government Toyota minibus, licence plate No. 539890 (Damascus), belonging to the General Exhibitions Establishment. 22. In Duma, an armed terrorist group stole a tanker, licence plate No. 552723, which was transporting 10,500 litres of fuel oil, and abducted its driver and a worker, Ayman Labun. 23. The body of Khalid Arrabi was found in the city of Duma with a gunshot to the head. 24. In the town of Babila, in the vicinity of the entrance to Bayt Saham, armed terrorists riding in a Serato vehicle, licence plate number unknown, opened fire on and instantly killed both Warrant Officer Muhammad Mahmud and a soldier, Muhammad Allawi. 25. In the town of Subaynah, the body of an unidentified person was found. 26. In the town of Kanakir, armed terrorists attacked a number of law enforcement checkpoints, causing no injuries. 27. In the city of Darayya, an armed terrorist group killed Colonel Khayru Muhammad Khawlani as he was leaving his home on Thawrah Street. 28. In the town of Kafr Batna, the body of Mu'adh al-Kurdi was found dumped in the Barada River. He had been killed by a gunshot. 29. An unidentified body of a man in his thirties was found in the town of Hazzah. 30. Heavy fire was directed against law enforcement checkpoints in the town of Manin. 12-55383 3 S/2012/494 31. An armed terrorist group set fire to a Mitsubishi Rosa microbus, licence plate No. 43962 (Police), in a Harasta repair garage. The vehicle belonged to the Palace of Justice Department in Rif Dimashq. 32. Between the towns of Qarah and Qastal, a number of armed terrorists were seen attempting to burn tyres and opening fire on passing cars. The police and law enforcement personnel confronted the terrorists, who fled. Damascus governorate 33. On 20 June 2012 at 2200 hours, an armed terrorist group in Dummar detonated an explosive device as a law enforcement patrol passed, wounding two officers. 34. At 0730 hours, an explosive device blew up in a Military Housing Mazda station wagon, licence plate No. 83789 (Army), on Hamish highway in Masakin while the vehicle was being driven by a civilian, Adnan Ali Imani. 35. At 0745 hours, an armed terrorist group blew up a law enforcement vehicle on Hamish highway at Farruj Nasr al-Sham. 36. At 1000 hours, an armed terrorist group detonated an explosive device in Kafr Susah. Dar‘a governorate 37. On 20 June 2012 at 2100 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on and killed a civilian, Ali al-Zu‘bi, on the Muzayrib-Dar‘a road. 38. On 20 June 2012 at 2300 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement personnel in the town of Nu‘aymah, wounding two officers. 39. On 20 June 2012 at 2300 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement personnel in the town of Harrah, wounding one officer. 40. At 0100 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a law enforcement checkpoint in the town of Harrah, wounding one officer. 41. At 0130 hours, a terrorist group opened fire on the Mahattah police station. Law enforcement personnel returned fire. 42. At 0230 hours, an armed terrorist group abducted and killed a civilian, Muhammad Abu Salu‘, from in front of his motorcycle repair shop in Injil. 43. At 0030 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement personnel in Ibta‘, wounding two officers. 44. At 0400 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on border guard post personnel in the area of Tall Zar‘ al-Wadi. 45. At 0430 hours, an armed terrorist group attacked a law enforcement checkpoint at the Simlin turnoff in the city of Inkhil, killing First Lieutenant Ali Musa, Lieutenant Ahmad Dib, Private Sami al-Sallah, Sergeant Muhammad Idris, Corporal Abdullah Sha'ban, Corporal Muhammad Arifi, Corporal As'ad Zukar, Corporal Amir al-Mur'i and Conscript Ra'id Dahik and wounding four others. 46. At 0500 hours, an armed terrorist group blocked the Dar‘a-Damascus international highway at the West Ghariyah turnoff and stole a car transporter carrying six Kia 4000 cars. 4 12-55383 S/2012/494 47. At 0500 hours, there was an exchange of fire in the village of Ibta‘ between armed terrorists and a police patrol passing the Izra‘ area. Two police officers were wounded. 48. At 0600 hours in Injil, an armed terrorist group detonated an explosive device as a law enforcement patrol was passing. 49. At 0700 hours, an armed terrorist group ambushed a law enforcement patrol as it was securing an examination in the vicinity of Qunaytirah School on Sadd Road in the city of Dar‘a. The group opened heavy fire on the patrol, killing Police Officer Diya' Matar and wounding two officers and a civilian, who were rushed to the National Hospital. 50. At 0730 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a military barracks in Nawa, wounding two soldiers. 51. At 1000 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on and killed Corporal Zakariya al-Abdullah as he was passing the refugee camp in Dar‘a.
