PN1034 - CROYDON COUNCIL PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN CROYDON The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (Amendment No. K85) Order 20- The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.K86) Order 20- 1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council, proposes to make the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers. 2. The general effect of the Orders would be: a) To introduce “at any time” double yellow line waiting restrictions in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 1 to this Notice and single yellow lines in the lengths of streets specified in Schedule 2. b) To update the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new arrangements as they exist on site. 3. A copy of the proposed Orders and all related documents can be inspected until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Orders were made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders, from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon" Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA. 4. The Order is intended to introduce new or amend existing waiting restrictions at various locations. These measures are intended to address all or some of the following situations: improve safety by providing increased visibility, especially at junctions and on bends; prevent obstructive parking so that turning vehicles have sufficient manoeuvrability and improve access for all road users, especially pedestrians, cyclists, emergency and public service vehicles.
