PV\1193234EN.docx 3/18 PE644.749v01-00 EN COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS COORDINATORS MEETING 6 November 2019 RECORD OF DECISIONS I. CHAIR'S ANNOUNCEMENTS A. Election of the Bureau of AFET Committee The Chair requested the political groups to urgently find an agreement and asked that the election of the remaining Vice-Chairs is put on the AFET Committee agenda for the meeting on 4-5 December. B. Ad-hoc delegations The Chair informed the Coordinators that the ad-hoc delegation to Ukraine is scheduled to take place from 5-7 December and the ad-hoc delegation to Saudi Arabia and Iran is scheduled to take place from 6-10 December. Both are pending the approval of the Conference of Presidents on the 21 November. At the request of Coordinators, a briefing by the EEAS will be proposed to the MEPs before the delegations take place. C. Activities with National Parliaments - 1st semester 2020 The Chair reminded the Coordinators that the next inter-parliamentary committee meeting (ICM) is foreseen to take place on 4 December. The Coordinators also endorsed a proposal by the Chair to hold an inter- parliamentary committee meeting on 23 June 2020 in the usual half-day format. D. Names of standing rapporteurs for Enlargement and Eastern Partnership countries The Coordinators have received the names of all standing rapporteurs (as per annex). Preparations for the Hearings of Commissioners-Designate The Chair informed the Coordinators that as soon as the name of the new commissioner-designate is announced, they would be requested to adopt written questions by written procedure. The Chair proposed adopting the same questions which were prepared for the hearing of Mr Trócsányi, with only one change proposed, namely the deletion of the sub-question specific for the previous candidate. II.DECISIONS A. Calendar of coordinators meeting of 2020 Decision to endorse the calendar of AFET Coordinators meetings of 2020 (as per Annex) B. AFET Working Groups Decision to allocate the delegated chairmanship to the political groups as follows: - External Financing Instruments (EPP) - Western Balkans (S&D) - Eastern Partnership (Renew Europe) - Southern Neighbourhood - Salima Yenbou (Greens/EFA) Groups should communicate the names of the remaining delegated Chairs to the Secretariat by 18 November at the latest.
