This striking pianist promises to captivate local audiences in one of Rachmaninoff’s most treasured works. Tchaikovsky’s popular symphony was his favorite: thrilling, bombastic, and ultimately a triumph of the human spirit. This brand-new version of the concert features classic favorites like “What's Opera, Doc?” and “The Rabbit of Seville,” plus scores of new additions, including the cutting-edge 3D cartoons “Rabid Rider” and “Coyote Falls.” Join Daffy Duck,Elmer Fudd, and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang for a hilarious night at the Philharmonic. Walton’s romantic concerto is one of the most striking in the repertory with its lyrical melodies, fiery virtuosic passages, and masterful orchestral writing. Broadway personalities join the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Chorus, and special guests in a program of the traditional and contemporary holiday favorites you know and love. The "Hallelujah" Chorus, a Christmas carol sing-a-long, and dancing Santa’s will sparkle in the majestic Embassy Theatre, decorated in holiday splendor especially for the occasion.
