Athletic Directors in Maryland’s Public and Private Secondary Schools Sponsored by 5 Star, Crown Trophy, Big Teams, Daktronics, NFHS Spring 2010 www.msada-md.org President’s Message The MSADA/DAAD joint conference was very successful. The Maryland and Delaware associations provided multiple professional development opportunities for our members. We offered leadership training classes, workshops, and interactive events over the four day conference. Our 1st Vice President, Derek Maki, did a great job of scheduling the guest speakers. We had national representation from the NIAAA, as Executive Director Bruce Whitehead, gave an interesting presentation about leadership. Dr. Gregory Dale, the noted professor of sports psychology from Duke University, did a wonderful job as our banquet speaker. Floyd Kerr, the athletic director at Morgan State University, gave a thorough description of the inner workings of the NCAA at our Sunday morning breakfast. We had five workshops during the conference. The workshops were well attended by our members. I want to thank all of the speakers, presiders, and panelists for their contributions. The practical knowledge they shared with us is extremely valuable. In This Issue I want to thank Matt O’Hare for his sensational performance as our Master of Ceremonies at the banquet.
