Students Achievements in various Sports tournaments Boys’ Football Team: The DJSCE Boys’ football team participated in “FLAME Kurukshetra 2020”, held from 19th January to 26th January, 2020. Total 25 college teams from various cities had participated in the said competition. The DJSCE Football team achieved the Runners-up position in the tournament. Raj Laskar Swimming Competition (Ms. Radhika Gawde): The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India had launched the “Khelo India” scheme to promote the culture of sports & excellence in sports in the country. The third edition of “Khelo India Youth Games 2020” was conducted from 11th January to 18th January, 2020 at Aquatic Centre, SSC in Guwahati. One of our First Year students, Ms. Radhika Ravindra Gawde from Biomedical Engineering received a Gold medal in the 4x100 meters swimming relay race in “Khelo India Youth Games 2020”. She also received a bronze medal in the 4x100 meters medley relay swimming competition. Furthermore, she stood 4th in the 200 meters butterfly stroke event. Boys Basketball Team: 1) Tournament: Father Agnels College Fest: Athlos 2020 Dates: 18/1/2020-19/1/2020 Position: 2nd place Won against: VJTI ICT SIES Finals: Lost to MPSTME in extra time. 2) Tournament: St. Francis Institute of Technology Fest: Ignitra Dates: 13/1/2020-14/1/2020 Position: 2nd place Won against: Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology Vidyalankar Institute of Technology St. Francis Institute of Technology Finals: Lost to Thakur College of Commerce 3) Tournament: KJSCE Fest: SKREAM 2020 Dates: 4/1/2020-8/1/2020 Position: Top 4 Won Against: Vaze Engineering college NMIMS School of Law KJ Somaiya College of Engineering Semifinals: Lost to KJ Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce .
