We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student-athletes, coaches or team representatives shall not be tolerated and are grounds for removal from the site and, if needed, additional disciplinary action.” 3 Preface NCAA Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Rules Committee Preface The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Rules have been designated as either administrative rules or conduct rules. Typically, administrative rules are those dealing with preparation for the competition. The conduct rules are those that have to do directly with the competition. Rules may not be altered, unless flexibility is indicated in a specific rule. NCAA member institutions are required to conduct their intercollegiate contests according to these rules. The administrative rules included in this book are listed below. All other rules deal with the conduct of competition. • Rules 1 through 4 (except portions of Rule 3.1 specifying who may occupy bench area, and prohibiting use of video in bench area) • Rules 13.1 and 13.2 • Rules 31 through 39 • Rules 82.2, 82.3 and 82.4 • Rule 88 Those desiring interpretations of rules or play situations or who have suggestions regarding rules may contact the secretary-rules editor: Steve Piotrowski Phone: 248-880-6877 Email: [email protected] NCAA MEN’S AND WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY RULES COMMITTEE The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey Rules Committee roster is available online at www.NCAA.org/playingrules 4 Major Rules Changes for 2014-16 Major Rules Changes for 2014-16 The figures below refer to rule, section and article, respectively.
