He could not say whether those words had actually been spoken or only formed in his mind. “It is him.” One of the grotesquely clothed aliens waiting in the back approached. They were warriors. He had seen them cleansing the ship of their enemies with a kind of grace and elegance he would never forget. The warrior put something at his feet. “It will ward off evil spirits.
