Which includes store room, museum ,Lab. – 1 & Lab. - 2 Introductory note Lacation,Vision,Mission,Type of Institution Our institution was established on 15th July 1993 It was the need of student coming from & estern peat of Miraj Tahsil These werw only two college emparting traditional education in Miraj municipal area Beyond that theremere colleges Which were distantly location in sangli municipal area tlon Prof.Sharad patil then seating MLA of Miraj constitnency fell they need to establish the college in order to cater the need of students andestablished Miraj Mahavidyalaya,Miraj to impart exclusively traditional educational for overall development of the students Initially the college was hasted in a rental building known Hindu Dharmashala and sanotorium with megre strength of one hundred twenty students having only two faculties namely Arts and Science The management put forth a vision ---------- before itsell The mission of ------ was set improve the overall personality the students As the students strength went on increasing the institution felt the need of expantion. Taking into corsideration the need management admeasuring 13552 metr – at the heart of the city management constructed a three storeyed trmiding mith gmtup area -------- fg mts.Which fuffilled the then the need of institution The institution started receving full grants from the govt.in 2004 and received perment affiliation from SUK & UGC in 2005 At present our institution enrolles arromd 1500 students per year nuder the three faculties namely Arts.Commerce & Science and permenth unaided course of BCA under commerce faculty There are number COC and remedial courses sponcered by UGC as wel on short term corses bleignew & funded by institution Executive Summary Brief note : Strength : Thengh the college is established it has gained nide poprily a mongs the students This is mainly because of number of practices me have started for the overall development of their personality. a) The location of college is at the heart city it has an eary access from both central bus stand ar well as railly station. b) Faculty pays personal atlention to the students regarding their academi development Co-curricular & extra curricular activities c) Administrath 06 serves strict seghrith for the girl students. Above all a discipline is maintained on the campus A special care of sports personal is taken and encouraged them to work hard regurus training is imparted to the plages students interested in cultural and national service schem are given more forcilities Ado courses funded either by UGC or self snloprting or of our institute faculty is hightly qualified enthmsiastic & self motivated As a resnlt overall examination results are ever increasing and have reach ti the higher level. Weakness: Even though institution has overcome large number of difficulties still theirare some which can not be overcome imidiaty. a) Shortage of Infrastracture like classing play grow ar laborotaries b) The faculty can not be oppointed on regnta benis due to policies of state govt The grants received by govt.re scanty. c) Because of an university and govt policies the post gradmate courses started. d) AS the imparts traditional education the aluminy is not so strong . e) Due to the central govt.Policies seperat NCC unit can not be Opporutunities : Though the traditional edn emparting institution we have sone opportnnities to floueish as for. a) Titute can opt for post graduate conrses in some subject. b) As the Institition located near by industrial estiblishats Inolustrial linkages can be signed to receive traing to the students. c) Consultamcies in industra & agricultures sector can be initiated essialy Chalenges: There are number of challenges before the institution theses may be some of them of serious inportent a) New institutions are being opend in nearby towns. b) The professionalcourese and vocational courses are beingopened in near by institutions which are old established c) Day by day govt.chaning their policies tonarods the traditional education.
