It discusses the basic problems and prospects of the industrial policy implementation including the opportunity of large companies’ activity localization. The features of the industrial development of Krasnoyarsk Krai are stated. The principles of the industrial policy that ensure the development of the industrial sector in Russia, Siberia and the Far East are set forth. The article also views the complex of problems connected with the formation of the region’s industrial policy aimed at an innovative way of development and growth of high-tech sectors of the economy focused on new commodity markets. The types of industrial policy, its goals, objectives, characteristics and potential are stated. The proposals for the industrial policy of Krasnoyarsk Krai are developed.
