Your Celebration Residential Owners Association (CROA) Board of Directors continues striving to maintain the high quality of living - July 2018 - July experience for all of our residents, with its attention to reviewing and enhancing the wide variety of activities and services. Our nation’s founders had a strong desire for an engaged citizenry, and consistent with this desire, your Board also seeks your engagement on two dimensions of our community: involvement and governance. From the “involvement” perspective, kick off the month with your attendance at the annual July 4th Parade through Celebration’s downtown streets. You will also find events sponsored by other HandymanHandyman groups throughout the day, including an afternoon concert. Take a look at the various activities sponsored throughout the William Benjamin month, advertised elsewhere in the Celebration News. You will soon see new furniture at some of the pool facilities, as well Carpentry, Painting as landscape enhancements at several parks; also, the new Plumbing & Electrical playground equipment approved a month ago should be installed soon. You may also be interested in the results of the May 2018 30 years experience resident survey; with over 800 residents responding to this fifth quarterly survey, you can read (in this edition of the Celebration FREE ESTIMATES News as well as online) their review of the community standards process as well as life overall in Celebration. 24 hour service Cell: 321-746-3828 Regarding “governance,” you are encouraged to attend (or view on-line) the monthly Board meetings as well as the twice-month- ly Board workshops. If you want more detail, take a look at the materials used by your Board to make decisions; these are all available online in a linked format for ease of review. You can review upcoming agendas of discussion topics, and share your thoughts by attending or contacting us. We also encourage you to attend the meetings of our five standing committees meetings (Architectural Review, Covenants, Special Events, Recreation and Dog Park); also consider signing up to join a committee as space becomes available. Blending both of these dimensions, these summer months involve active planning for the 2019 CROA Budget for our homeowners association. We are already starting the process of reviewing expenditures and making plans for the coming year. A guiding factor for our decisions revolves around the level of service wanted for our community. With the development of the Athletic and Recreation Fields, we are using most of the existing reserve funds, so prioritization with the 2019 budget will be critical.
