MALI, Lima’s art museum, shows work from the pre-Colombian era to recent past and is housed in an attractive building in the downtown area. In Barranco,the Pedro de Osma Museum exhibits pieces from the second to eighteenth century,providing the best,small showcase of artifacts to understand the origin of the Incas. Next door is MATE (Mario Testino Museum) exhibiting the famous Peruvian’s photography; you can purchase a double ticket at either museum to visit both at a reduced cost.A triple ticket can be purchased to additionally include MAC ContemporaryArt Museum, when they have temporary exhibitions, which is also located in Barranco. In the Larco Museum you can find the famous erotic pottery from the Moche culture (500AD). The museum’s permanent exhibition is located on the 2nd floor, and on the 1st floor they offer interesting temporary exhibitions.
