INVITATION On behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning of the Land Brandenburg, Kathrin Schneider, we warmly invite you to our event: Future of cross-border rail transport in Europe The Example of Berlin-Uckermark-Szczecin on Monday, 1 April 2019 from 10.30 to 14.00 at the Representation of the Land Brandenburg to the EU in Brussels. Cross-border railway links are an essential goal of European integration. How regions can support this aim while strengthening their own development will be demonstrated by the example of the railway link Berlin-Uckermark-Szczecin. The creation of a double-tracked and electrified line near the German-Polish border will close a gap and bring about a connection between four TEN-T core network corridors. We will also have a look at Rail Baltica to see what we can learn from this important project of cooperation in the rail sector. A simultaneous interpretation into English, Polish and German will be provided.
