VILLAGE OF OBETZ RECORD OF ORDINANCES ORDINANCE: 12-16 PASSED: AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH N.A. RUGBY UNION, LLC ON BEHALF OF THE OHIO PRO RUGBY TEAM AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY WHEREAS, professional rugby is starting in the United States; and, WHEREAS, N.A. Rugby Union LLC desires to locate the Ohio Pro Rugby Team in Obetz; and, WHEREAS, home games will be played in Memorial Park on the existing fields; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF OBETZ, OHIO, THAT: Section 1: Council authorizes the Village Administrator to enter into a lease agreement, in a form approved by the Law Director, with N.A. Rugby Union LLC for the use of Obetz’ facilities. Section 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, such emergency arising from the need to execute the contract prior to the start of the rugby season; WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
