Whitewater News February 13, 2020 TOWNSHIP OF ADMASTON/BROMLEY Public Planning Meeting Council held a public planning meeting at the Municipal Council Chambers on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 7:15 p.m. Council members present were Mayor Michael Donohue, Deputy Mayor Mike Quilty, Councillors Robert Dick, Kevin LeGris and Bob Hall. Staff member present was Acting Clerk-Treasurer Mitchell Ferguson. Mayor Donohue called the public planning meeting to order. Mayor Donohue reported that the public planning meeting was being held to consider a Zoning By-Law Amendment requested by Jody Hartwick and Kim Henry. Mayor Donohue reported that the applicants are requesting a zoning by-law amendment. The purpose of the amendment is to rezone the land to permit a hunting and fishing camp, and to establish a minimum gross floor area of 45 square metres for this use. The effect of the amendment is to rezone the subject lands from Agriculture (A) to Agriculture-Exception Thirty-Nine (A-E39). All other provisions of the Zoning By-law will apply. The lands affected by the amendment are located on Part of Lot 12, Concession 5, in the geographic Township of Bromley, now in the Township of Admaston/ Bromley, and known municipally as vacant land on Spence Road. Notice of the public meeting was advertised in the Eganville Leader on January 8th, 2020. Notice was also sent to the: • Owners • 4 owners of land within 120 metres of the lands affected • eight public bodies as required • County of Renfrew C.A.O./Clerk. • Admaston/Bromley’s Chief Building Official Enbridge Gas INC responded that after review of the information they have no objections, comments or concerns. Mayor Donohue provided an explanation on the appeal process and requested comments from the Public. Mayor Donohue then asked if Council had any questions or comments. Seeing none the Mayor requested that anyone wishing to receive notice of Council’s decision on the Zoning By-Law Amendment for Jody Hartwick and Kim Henry advise the Clerk-Treasurer prior to leaving this public meeting. Council accepted it as information. At the 2020 Budget Workshops, the County of Renfrew arrived at a levy increase of 2.5%, with real growth being 1% from 2019. Also reviewed at the County of Renfrew meeting were the public works projects that are taking place within municipalities in the County.
