Only then is a sustainable forest industry possible,” says Josef Nolle, who works as a forester in the Black Forest. Kurt Weber, one of the board mem- bers, describes: “We are a 100% forestry service company and act in the interest of and according to the needs of our members.” Currently members of the WSO come from 22 communities and six collec- tive forest enterprises. Services offered by WSO are marked by their diver- sity and stipulated in management contracts with the forest owners.
