The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the Rab family, members of which are small molecular weight guanosine triphosphatases(GTPases) that contain highly conserved domains involved in GTP binding and hydrolysis. It is mapped to 8q12.1. RAB2A protein is a resident of pre-Golgi intermediates and is required for protein transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi complex. It is essential for the maturation of pre-Golgi intermediates. RAB2A has been shown to interact with GOLGA2. Application Notes The stated application concentrations are suggested starting amounts. Titration of the Rab2 antibody may be required due to differences in protocols and secondary/substrate sensitivity. Immunogen An amino acid sequence from the C-terminus of human RAB2A (QHAATNATHAGNQGGQQA) was used as the immunogen for this Rab2 antibody.
