Here tin and terne plates are manufactured, and are well known for the superiority of their make. There is a chapel of ease belonging to Margam parish church, and chapels for Baptists, Independents, and Calvinistic Methodists. Service is held at the school-room, Bryn, in connectio~~t with Oakwood Chapel, once on Sundays. There is a very large school, supported by Messrs. Vivian and Sons.
