Municipal officials have received reports of door-to-door sales representatives in the Stayner area posing as Township staff as an attempt to enter private residences. The reports have indicated that the sales representatives are asking questions about water quality, water heaters, air conditioners, and furnaces. If a Township representative needs to visit a residence or business, it will usually be at a mutually agreed upon appointment time. Township employees carry appropriate identification and will generally arrive in Township marked vehicles. Residents are under no obligation to let sales representatives into their homes.
