The term “archangel” appears only twice in the Bible and means “ messenger” or “ messenger” (1 Thess. 4:16 and Jude 1:9). b. Michael and his angels will cast Satan and his angels out of their heaven to the earth. Once there, Michael will have to defend Israel from total annihilation (Rev. 12:7-9, 13-17, Dan. 12:1). 4. Gabriel a. Gabriel’s name means “ .” b. It appears that he was a chief messenger of God because he delivered several very important messages from God to human beings. i. He communicated to Daniel crucial information concerning the future of and the (Dan. 8:15-27, 9:21-27). ii.
