There are four airports within 75 miles of the university. Newark Liberty International Airport is the closest geographically and will provide the easiest access to campus. From other airports, you should expect to travel through high traffic areas with tolls. The New Brunswick Train Station is located within walking distance of the College Avenue Campus (see map under Navigating Campus page 6) of Rutgers–New Brunswick near the intersection of Route 27 and Easton Avenue. Then take theA A bus one stop to the Visitor Center. After 9:30 p.m., you can take the HH bus to the Student Activities Center stop and get off to take the AA bus one stop to the Visitor Center. DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE VISITOR CENTER FROM NJ TURNPIKE Turn off at Exit 9, bear right after the toll booths and followw signs for "Route"Rout 18 North– New Brunswick." Stay to the left to continue on Route 18 North.h. Proceed along Route 18 North and bear left to access the express lanes marked "Routee 18 North–Piscataway." Cross the Raritan River (approximately 3.7 miles from the Turnpike). Take the second exit, markeded "Campus Road–Rutgers Stadium." Follow the exit around and make the first left ontoto Sutphen Road. The Visitor Center will be on your right. Parking is located on your lefteftinLot48 in Lot 48. 4 FROM GARDEN STATE PARKWAY Southbound (from northern points) TRANSPORTATION Turn off at Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike and head south. Follow the "From the New Jersey Turnpike" directions to the Visitor Center. Northbound (from southern points) Turn off at Exit 105 and follow signs for Route 18 North. After approximately 24 miles, you will pass the entrance for the New Jersey Turnpike. Follow the "From the New Jersey Turnpike" directions to the Visitor Center. FROM ROUTE 1 From the North or South: Turn off at the exit marked "Route 18 North–New Brunswick." Follow the campus directions in the "From the New Jersey Turnpike" section to the Visitor Center. INTERSTATE FROM ROUTE 287 Turn off at Exit 9 “Bound Brook/Highland Park.” Proceed East on River Road toward Highland Park. Continue on River Road and you will pass under the overpass for Route 18. Make the next left onto Route 18 North. Proceed up Route 18 to the Campus Road exit ramp on your right. Follow Campus Road and make the first left onto Sutphen Road. The Visitor Center will be on your right with parking directly across the road in Lot 48. 5 NAVIGATING CAMPUS Rutgers–New Brunswick is comprised of five residential campuses, with our total area spanning TRANSPORTATION both the towns of New Brunswick and Piscataway.
