Red Neighbours ...the LFC newsletter for residents of Anfield Issue: April/May 2020 Dear Neighbour, Welcome to our April/May Red Neighbours newsletter, which provides you with the latest news and updates about what’s happening in your local community with Red Neighbours. Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we have extended this edition KEY CONTACT of our newsletter, to provide you with the most up-to-date information from the club and the local community as well as some LFC themed games and activities, which will hopefully bring INFORMATION some light-hearted relief and keep your brains active while staying at home. Some activities will be available online, including Red Neighbours chair based yoga sessions and LFC Foundation physical activity and mindfullness sessions. More information on how you can get involved in these sessions will be available on liverpoolfc.com and foundation.liverpoolfc.com Further information on the postponement of activities, adapted sessions and new initiatives are outlined in the Community News section. To keep the spirits up of our elderly community who may be feeling the effects of social isolation during these uncertain times, we are inviting Community and school our young residents and their families to send us their pictures. The new initiative, which is a part of the club’s community response sessions postponed during the coronavirus outbreak, looks to bring some colour and cheer to our elderly neighbours in Anfield and Northwood Kirkby. The health and safety of our local community, fans, participants, players and staff remains our top priority at this challenging time. Y.N.W.A LFC Supports North Liverpool Foodbank Liverpool FC has made a £40,000 donation to Fans Supporting Foodbanks following the postponement of Premier League fixtures due to the coronavirus outbreak. The appeal, which is administered by the LFC Foundation, will donate 100% of the funds raised directly to the Trussell Trust, which supports a network of foodbanks in Liverpool and Merseyside.
