The main point of arrival/departure for the Napoli Universiade is Capodichino International Airport. The secondary point of arrival/departure is the Train Station Napoli Centrale. Transportation will be provided from the Train Station to the Delegation Welcome Centre (DWC), not directly to the Villages. Local transfer services will be provided from the DWC to the 3 Athletes’ Villages clusters and back from June 27 to July 16, 2019. No transfer service will be provided outside the official dates. Further information will be provided in the Arrival & Departure Guide Arrivals Procedures - Welcome Desks From June 27 to July 16, 2019 OC welcome staff will be stationed in: Welcome desk in Capodichino International Airport, Arrivals Procedures - Welcome Desks From June 27 to July 16, 2019 OC welcome staff will be stationed in: welcome desk in the Train Station Napoli Centrale Arrivals at Capodichino International Airport After collecting their luggage, Delegations will be directed to the Delegation Welcome Center (DWC). After the DWC procedures have been completed, Delegations will be transferred to the appropriate Athletes’ Villages cluster (Naples, Caserta or Salerno). Arrivals at Train Station Napoli Centrale If the arrivals and departures are planned from and to Napoli Centrale’s Train Station – it must be communicated in the FISU Online Accreditation System (OAS). Transportation will be provided from the Train Station to the DWC at the airport, not directly to the Villages. Arrivals to the Universiade by other Means All delegations that arrive to Napoli by their own means will have to go to the DWC located next to the International Airport Capodichino. Delegation Welcome Center Upon arrival, Delegations will be directed to the DWC where OC workforce will meet each of the Head of Delegation (HoD) or Proxy while any accompanying Delegation members may wait in the Waiting Area. The DWC will be divided into two zones: 1. Waiting Area 2. Arrival & Departures info, Finance/Payment, Temporary Pass Collection, CIC Appointment booking, Welcoming Ceremony confirmation, and Room confirmation. HODs must visit the DWC and complete this process before any Delegation member will be able to access any AV. For those staying in the Naples AV (AVN1) there is an additional process (Cruise Card) to complete prior to AV entry. Naples Athletes’ Villages First Arrival (AVN1) • Upon arrival at the AVN1, Delegates with a valid temporary pass will pass through the screening area to be directed to a check in where they will be issued a Cruise Card for the cabin to which they are assigned. • Cruise cards will be issued only to Delegation members present on the rooming list as finalized during the room confirmation process at the DWC. No changes will be possible on-site. • To receive a cruise card (which also doubles as a room key) Delegation members will be required to show their passport or an international identification card, that contains a photograph. ARRIVALS AT NAPLES ATHLETES’ VILLAGE INTERNATIONAL ZONE FIRST ARRIVAL CHECK POINT SECURITY SCREENING ASSIGNEMENT OF THE OBTAIN ROOM KEY SHOWING TEMPORARY PASS ROOMS DEPARTURE Procedure The departure period will be until 16 July. As for Departures, OC will notify the Delegation about pick-up time at the AV for departure to the Airport or Train Station. The OC will inform about the Departures’ Change Process to the Delegations upon arrival at the DWC. Drop-off zones are located in front of the Departure Terminal and the Train Station. VISA ASSISTANCE Requiring Visa Citizens of the following countries don’t require a visa for stays of between 30 and 90 days depending on the country: European Union (EU) nationals. Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Benin, Bolivia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Fiji, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kenya, (South) Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Republic of Macedonia, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niger, Norway, Paraguay, Poland, Samoa, San Christopher and Nevis, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, USA and Venezuela. All other nationalities require a visa to visit Italy for any period. VISA Process will take at least 2 weeks. Visa Issuing The Italian Foreign Affairs Office has informed the Organizing Committee that in order to facilitate the issuing of VISAs to enter Italy, the necessary information of all nationals that require a VISA should be submitted preferably by May 3rd 2019. The OC will inform delegations on the procedure ACCREDITATION GUIDELINES & PROCEDURES Accreditation Process – DWC and AVN1 DWC – Temporary Pass Distributed at the Delegation Welcome Centre (DWC) at Napoli Capodichino Airport, Temporary passes will be issued and collected by HoDs as an interim card until the permanent ones (Accreditation Cards) are approved and issued by the CIC. Temporary Passes are valid only for 24 hours and allow access to accommodation, food and beverages. Athletes are not allowed to compete or to train with temporary passes. Delegations will confirm at the DWC an appointment with the CIC, located in Main Accreditation Centre (MAC) Naples Port AVN1. There will be only one (1) CIC office, located in MAC. AVN1 – Accreditation Card Accreditation cards will be collected at the MAC after the CIC validation process has been completed. Accreditation Process – Security Checks Security checks will be run by law enforcement agencies on participants to the SU. OC and FISU will process the accreditation request, undergoing the CIS process, ultimately confirming or denying the issue of the accreditation card. The task of the CIC is to control the eligibility of the competitors, (requirements, i.e. age, nationality and student status of the athletes) If an athlete does not meet the requirements, the CIC will refuse the participation to the event. ATHLETES VILLAGES Athletes’ villages Located in three (3) different city clusters: Naples, Salerno and Caserta. The OC will guarantee the Athletes and Delegation members convenient transportation to training and competition venues. The Athletes’ Villages are in: AVN Naples AVN1 Naples Port AVS Salerno AVS1 Fisciano Campus AVS2 Grand Hotel Salerno Naples Port AVC Caserta AVC1 Vanvitelli AVC2 Novotel AVC3 Golden Tulip Plaza AVC4 Marina Resort Accommodation Process Athletes’ Villages (AVs) will open on 27th June and will close on 16th July. The Check-In process for all AVs starts at the DWC. Upon arrival the Head of Delegation (HoD) will be directed to the DWC, to verify the number of participants, complete the financial deposit, collect the temporary pass, set up the CIC appointment and receive the room allocation in the Athletes Villages. The access to the Residential Zones will be allowed only upon completion of the HoD Registration process at the DWC. Naples (AVN1) Salerno (AVS) Salerno Athletes’ Village is located in two sites, Fisciano (AVS1) 15 km from Salerno, which consists of 5 buildings connected to each other at a convenient walking distance, and Grand Hotel Salerno (AVS2) located in the city center. Fisciano Campus (AVS1) Buildings with 5 floors and elevators Approx. 200 beds in each building Caserta (AVC) Caserta Athletes’ Village consists of 3 hotels located in the city center (AVC1, AVC2, AVC3), while AVC4 is located nearby Castel Volturno, a seaside area between Naples and Caserta (50 Km from Naples and 40 km from Caserta).
