Flat Carbon Steel April 12, 2021 Re: ArcelorMittal Dofasco Mandatory Mask Policy changes With the continuous increase in positive COVID-19 cases, higher transmission rates, various strains and recent provincial restrictions, AMD is implementing the requirement of mandatory KN95 or N95 respirators to be used when in enclosed spaces effective immediately. • Critical work where 2 meter distances cannot be maintained • Pulpit / Control Rooms • Shared Vehicles • Shared Offices and Meeting Rooms NOTE: N95s with exhalation valves are not an acceptable option All other working conditions will require employees to wear a 3ply surgical mask. We are also requiring your organization to educate and be vigilant around removal of masks for eating / drinking / breaks. Remove mask only for active eating or drinking. Keep masks on as much as possible . Our objective is to continue to support Third Parties with this ever-changing work environment during this pandemic. We hope that you will be able to implement this change immediately, but we will allow for a transition to these masks with a full implementation date of Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Our expectations from Suppliers with people on our site are: 1. Third Party employees are required to complete a daily screening prior to attending site 2. Third Party employees will now be required to wear an approved mask when accessing our plant or attending site 3. If at any point a Third-Party employee that has recently been to our site and is: a. having a COVID test; or b. been in contact with a positive COVID case; or c. displaying symptoms of COVID; or d. has traveled outside of Canada within the last 14 days To then notify Sandra Toner ([email protected]) immediately so we can ensure all contact tracing at the site is conducted and appropriate cleaning protocols are implemented.
