Stay well. In spite of disruptions from the COVID-19 virus, much good has occurred at Orlando Ballet. Our organization — its staff, Board and dancers — remains strong: • Cheryl Collins was named Executive Director Robert Hill and her leadership has been remarkable in these Artistic Director, Orlando Ballet difficult days. A LETTER FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Our Future Has Never Looked Brighter What makes a performing arts organization great? Artistic excellence, bold vision, passionate leadership and the fortitude to allow for creative risk. These are the hallmarks of Orlando Ballet. Under the leadership of Board President Jonathan Ledden and our dedicated Board of Directors, the road to sustainability has transformed our financial picture, allowed for the building of a debt free home and set us up to succeed in a time that none of us could ever have imagined. This solid organizational foundation supports the vision of a fearless artistic director to rise above each new hurdle – instead seeing a creative challenge. I am in awe of my partner, Robert Hill, as he leads Orlando Ballet through the constraints of providing safety for our dancers, staff and audience to produce a ballet worthy of the mainstage. Rare is the choreographer who would depart from the traditional interpretations of an iconic ballet like The Sleeping Beauty to present a work that addresses the reality of our current world. Robert has done just this with grace and fortitude that is echoed in the dedication of the company, production, wardrobe and technical staff. My opportunity to lead the business side of our organization in support of this vision is the greatest professional gift of my life. I love our mission and deeply admire the professionalism and dedication of our administrative, artistic, school and community enrichment staff. Serving along side this team and our board of directors to safe- ly bring dance to you, our loyal audience, is my deepest privilege. I would also like to extend thanks on behalf of the entire Orlando Ballet family and the community we serve to the generous donors and funding partners who continue to support our mission to make all of this possible. We are honored to perform for you and thank you for continuing help keep us dancing.
