VOL. 44 SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, FRIDAY, JANUARY I I, 1 Ni NO. 62 '57 Edition of Revelries Commences Tonight 'Tape' Begins Five-Day Run By JAMES STEVEN HUSHAW "Red Tape," the much awaited all-student Revelries production, opens tonight at 8:15 o'clock in Morris Dailey Auditorium after more than three months of rehearsals. "Red Tape" is the story of a group of European immigrants attempting to enter the United States, with the entire action of the production taking place in the offices of the assistant commissioner of immigration on Ellis Island in New York Harbor. Among the immigrants is a trio of Russian Communists, a love- sick girl attempting to be reunited with her lover, a royal pair from Germany, an Englishman, and a most tempting French siren. This group accounts for most of the action in Red Tape," which will run tomorrow night and Jan. 17, 18 and 19. Tickets for tonight's and the remaining performances are on sale in the Student Affairs Business Office. Prices are $1 for general admission and 75 cents for students. Bob Montilla, a co-author of "Red Tape" with Manny Correa, is the production director of the show. Montilla describes "Red Tape" as being a comedy with music. Montilla and Correa wrote the lyrics for the show and Richard lash pooduced the music. There are 13 musical numbers in the pro- duction.
