The merging of Akron’s first two Catholic schools, St. Mary and St. Vincent, is portrayed in the official crest of STVM. Featured in gold on a green background are a cross, a torch, and a plow and sword. The cross symbolizes the religious foundation of the school. The torch, symbolizing learning, differs from traditional designs in that it is held by two hands, one representing each school. The plow and sword symbolize commitment to social justice and were part of the crest of the late Bishop Clarence Issenman, who directed the formation of St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. 15 North Maple Street, Akron, Ohio 44303 Phone 330.253.9113 • Fax 330.996.0020 Page 3 “ROLL WITH THE WINNERS!” “At STVM, all we do is hang banners.”- eron aes VM Did k t STVM Sat hampionship ea eam ividua ort otaling includ eam nd individual itles) T ut im t at book H worth 17-2018 complishments: 2017 HSAA ross ontr DII State inalists: irls th inish, os rd inish 2017 HSAA ootball III State Sei inalist 2018 HSAA nastics State aliier eelia alter 2018 HSAA irls asetball II Regional Finalist 2018 ASSA heerleading State oetition th lae inish 2018 HSAA restling Tea als State alifier 2018 HSAA resting II State alifiers, State laers, State haion L Wym STATE CHMION OHSA oy asketba II STATE CHMIONS BACK ACK) 8th State title in program history, considered “Winningest” program in state history: 198, 00, 01, 03 (ational hampion), 09, 17, 2018 208 HSAA rac ield State lacers and aliiers THE VERAE O STVM STUDENT-ATHLETE IS #IRISPRI RSHFOREVER #GOIRIS Page 4 St. Vincent-St. Mary 2018 | ADMINISTRATION & MINISTRY Thomas M.
