CREDIT: MEDFORD BEER WEEK In its ninth year, both organizers, Chris Dennett and Nick Ellis have watched Medford Beer Week turn into a “metric week” (that is, 10 days) with more events than the year before and even a “bonus day.” Dennett explains their goal is to present the entire ecosystem of beers in the region. “We want to create motion between bars and restaurants and create awareness about craft beers,” he says. Here is the Messenger’s Picks from each day of Beer Week: Thursday June 6: 7th Annual Ring The Bull Tournament at Opposition Brewing: 6 – 8 pm. The “Sharp Shooter” dog tag is coveted, so practice up and see if you have what it takes to beat the defending champion. Discounted pints for all participants. Friday, June 7: Hat Press and Brew with Ninkasi Brewing at Beerworks Medford: 5 – 9 pm. Choose a hat and a design, and they’ll make you a hat right then and there, for free.
