While I haven’t had the chance to visit with all of you, I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to serve the Brotherhood and visit with several Chapters throughout the country. I’m continuously inspired by the passion and warm Icarian hospitality that I’m greeted with. While we live in different regions and environments, our strong Icar- ian heritage resonates throughout each of us. I’d like to thank my fellow Supreme Lodge members for their hard work and commitment throughout the year: Cathy Pandeladis – Supreme Vice President, Katerina Mavrophilipos – Supreme Secretary, Evangelos J. Fragos – Supreme Treasurer, Maria Vardaros – Legal Counsel; and District Governors: Chrissa Lefes, Erica Aivaliotis, Stelios Alexan- der, Steve Stratakos, Alexandra Katsas, Sissi Makris, and Yianni Fragos; Scholarship Chairman: George Livanos; our Social Media Team: Katie Kefalos & Rainia Lardas; Magazine Editor: Mary A. This is an exceptional group of individuals who work hard as a team for the advancement of the Brotherhood. As our national convention draws near, I’d like to encourage each and every one of you to do what you can to attend. The convention is the one time of year we gather together to set our objectives for the year ahead and goals for the future. It is also an opportunity for us to enjoy our rich heritage and culture, and help solidify it for generations to come. I’d like to thank Chapter Spanos-Areti for their hard work in organizing the national convention. This year’s conven- tion, which will be held in Detroit, promises to be a memorable one with many exciting events and activities planned throughout the weekend. As a reminder, the Convention hotel is the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel. The Supreme Lodge recently emailed and mailed the “Convention Delegate” and “Chapter Officer” forms to each of the Chapter Presidents. Please ensure that these forms are completed for your Chapter and returned to our National Secretary Katerina Mavrophilipos. It is important to return these forms as soon as possible, to ensure all necessary Chapter and Delegate information is available by the start of the convention. Finally, I’d like to sincerely thank the Chapter officers and members of the Brotherhood who have done so much throughout the year. Your commitment and dedication to our great organization is precisely why the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood of America continues to thrive and accomplish so much. Παρ᾽όλο που δεν ευκαίρησα να επισκεφθώ όλα τα παραρτήματα της αδελφότητας, με συγκίνησε η ζεστασιά και η φιλοξενία όλων των παραρτημάτων που κατάφερα να επισκεφθώ. Αν και ζούμε σε διαφορετικές περιφέρειες από άκρη σε άκρη της Βόρειας Αμερικής, η δυνατή Ικαριακή κληρονομιά μας είναι εμφανείς στον καθένα από εμάς. Πρόκειται για μια ομάδα την οποία απαρτίζουν εξαιρετικά άτομα με φοβερή διάθεση για την συνεχή βελτίωση της Αδελφότητας. Καθώς πλησιάζει το ετήσιο συνέδριο μας, θα ήθελα να σας ενθαρρύνω να προσέλθετε. Το συνέδριο μας δίνει την ευκαιρία να συγκεντρωθούμε ώστε θα θέσουμε νέους στόχους για το μέλλον της αδελφότητας. Ασφαλώς είναι και η ευκαιρία να χαρούμε όλοι μαζί παρέα την πλούσια κληρονομιά μας και να καλλιεργήσουμε φιλικές και κοινωνικές σχέσεις για τις επόμενες γενεές. Πρόσφατα, το διοικητικό συμβούλιο απέστειλε αιτήσεις δια τον ορισμό α) Αντιπροσώπων Συνεδρίου και β) Εκπρόσωπο του Παραρτήματός σας. Παρακαλώ να μην αμελήσετε να συμπληρωθούν και να επιστραφούν στην Γραμματέα Κατερίνα Μαυροφιλίππου, καθώς η άμεση επιστροφή των αιτήσεων εξασφαλίζει την έγκυρη πληροφόρηση για τους διοργανωτές του συνεδρίου. Ολοκληρώνοντας, ευχαριστώ θερμά τους αντιπροσώπους και μέλη όλων των παραρτημάτων, οι οποίοι έχουν προσφέρει τόσα καλά αυτή την χρονιά που πέρασε. Η αφοσίωση στην αδελφότητα είναι ο βασικός πυλώνας και ο λόγος που συνεχίζει δυνατά. Ανυπομονώ να σας δω όλους στο Ετήσιο Συνέδριο στο Ντητροϊτ του Μίσιγκαν!
