Successful applicants whose promotion has not taken effect can also apply for a promotion review. Ongoing Parliamentary Service employees who have applied for a job in the APS at a higher classification level can also apply for a promotion review, or may be subject to an application for promotion review from an APS employee. A promotion review can only be conducted for promotions to APS Level 1 to APS Level 6 (or equivalent) classifications. A Promotion Review Committee cannot review promotions to jobs at the Executive Level 1 and Executive Level 2 (or higher) classifications. However, Executive Level promotions may be subject to a review of action if there is a serious defect in the process. Promotion decisions cannot be reviewed if they are based on the recommendation of an Independent Selection Advisory Committee or a decision of a Promotion Review Committee. How to submit a promotion review application To apply for a promotion review, you can use the Office of Merit Protection Commissioner (OMPC) online application form and submit it within the relevant timeframe. The successful submission of an online application will generate an email receipt to the nominated email address. If you do not receive an acknowledgement email with a receipt number when you lodge your online application please contact the OMPC. Applications made overseas must be received by the Merit Protection Commissioner by 5pm Australian Eastern Standard time. Applications received after the closing date and time will not be accepted. The only time the timeframe will change is around the Christmas and New Year period, in accordance with Regulation 5.9(1)(b)(i)(B). Demonstrated experience in the development of informative and engaging resources, training and other good practice advice for the delivery of quality education and care programs and services. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and conceptualise complex multifaceted concepts and issues, and translate this knowledge to program or project outcomes. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and negotiate confidently with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to use a range of technology and learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
