The architectural profession includes professional architects, senior architectural technologists, architectural technologists, architectural draughtspersons and candidates in each of the categories of registration, all of whom are required to be registered with SACAP before they can practice architecture. SACAP regulates the architectural profession by setting up standards for registration, education and training, professional skills, conduct, performance and ethics. SACAP also keeps a register of candidates and professionals who meet the standards; approve programmes at higher institutions of learning which persons must complete to register; and take action when professionals on our register do not meet the standards.
