Defeat against Keighiey was abitter piii to swaiiow and certainiy the score flatters them as we were uniucky to iose the game but the difference was that they piayed the smarter footbaii on the night, both when they were in front and when they were behind. They never panicked, even when we had them under pressure, and that is the sign of agood side. It was the same against Dewsbury eariier in the season when we iost by 2points. It is no coincidence that those two sides are now second and first in the League respectively. Our lads have to gain experience from those type of matches to be able to use it to their advantage in similar situations in the future. Mike Ford has mentioned recently that at times there has been alack of self belief amongst the players and that they have to become more arrogant (on the pitch!!). The players have, without ashadow of adoubt, done tremendously well so far this season and its down to them and their hard work. We are not in afalse position in the League we are there because we have accumulated more points than the teams below us and that is the reward for the commitment and hard work that they have all put in. Ihave tremendous belief in the players and what we can achieve with them. They know that because it was discussed with each of them prior to them signing. As we enter the last third of the season the lads can use what they have done so far as aspringboard for further progress -WELL DONE BOYS -KEEP IT UP. Iwould like to welcome Alan Stoker and all his colleagues from Barrow for today’s game which although, on paper, should be ahome banker as Barrow have struggled away from home, Iam sure will be as difficult as it always is, as they will no doubt be trying even harder to turn their results on their travels around. As we have said before games are coming thick and fast in May and your support is vital. Please keep up the noise. Enjoy the game.
