Fiesta Texas was designed to be a show park as a way to differentiate the park from ride-oriented parks like Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags AstroWorld. Since joining the Six Flags family in 1996, Fiesta Texas has built up a solid collection of coasters and rides. The park’s coaster lineup includes Batman: The Ride, the original 4-D Free Spin coaster from S&S Worldwide; 2000’s Super- man Krypton Coaster, a B&M floorless; and Goliath, a B&M inverted coaster. Of particular note: Iron Rattler. It opened as Rattler in 1992, a Roller Coaster Corporation of America coaster designed by John Pierce. For the 2013 season, RMC transformed it into Iron Rattler, which quickly became popular with enthusiasts. Honoring the property’s previous use as an agricultural and grocery center, many of the park’s buildings were repurposed from their original uses.
