1 For official use only O & M No. 75 ANNUAL ADMINISTRATIVE REPORT 2017 LOK SABHA SECRETARIAT NEW DELHI February, 2019 2 P R E F A C E This Report deals with the various items of work executed by the Lok Sabha Secretariat during the Calendar year 2017. 2. The main function of the Lok Sabha Secretariat is to assist the Speaker in the discharge of several duties as the Presiding Officer of the Lok Sabha. It includes rendering of assistance to Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha) in the discharge of their Parliamentary duties in general and providing secretarial assistance to the House and various Standing and other Parliamentary Committees in particular. 3. The Lok Sabha Secretariat has been segmented into various Services and further into Branches/Sections for the efficient and smooth discharge of duties.
