JOHNNIE WALKER BLACK 4.5 ltr 500.00 One of the world’s most famous 12 year old blends, Johnnie Walker Black is a combination of about 40 whiskies, beautifully balanced. The nose is quite full, with suggestions of spice and treacle, as well as white pepper and a little citrus. Notice the rich palate and long finish that is fruity with hints of sultanas and mixed peels. Black Label has set the standard since 1909. CHIVAS REGAL 4.5 ltr 550.00 Chivas Regal is a world-famous Scotch blend which was first made in the early 20th century by the Chivas Brothers, whose company traces its roots back to 1801, with the opening of a grocery store in Aberdeen. Selling luxury food, coffee and spices, it wasn’t until post- US Prohibition that Chivas Regal 12 Year Old was first officially released. F. Paul Pacult, a leading expert on distilled spirits, described Chivas Regal 12 as “the blend for grown-ups”, awarding it an impressive 9 out of 10. A very refined blended whisky, with notes of herbs, honey and fruit, it is regularly praised by critics. This is a superb blend and a great value. Talkiser 25 yr 25.00 Talisker, one of the most remote distilleries in the world, is located on the rugged Isle of Skye and boasts a colorful history dating back to 1830. Attacked by the local clergy, praised by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson and set back by a still-room fire in 1960, Talisker has endured and today produces some of the smoothest and character full malts in Scotland, with an aroma and taste reminiscent of the wild and stormy Isle. Hellyers Road 18.00 Hellyers Road Single Malt is distilled from Tasmanian grown malted barley, yeast and pure Roaring Forties rainwater (produced by the most westerly - Roaring Forties - winds that circle Earth’s southern latitudes), with no artificial color or chilled filtration. Yamazaki 18.00 This single malt whisky from Suntory’s Yamazaki distillery in Japan, is jam- packed with juicy red berry notes, a result of the whisky being matured in Bordeaux wine casks and Sherry casks.
