Delta State lost game one of the series in a hard fought contest only to let the game slip away Feb. 21 Christian Brothers* 3:00 pm Feb. 22 Christian Brothers* (DH) 12:00 pm in the final inning by a score of 7-5. The Green and White dropped the next two games against the Chargers with scores of 21-7 on Saturday Feb. 29 @West Florida* (DH) 1:00 pm and on Sunday, 9-1. The Lady Statesmen will host their first home games of the year this weekend. Christian Brothers will come to Mar.1 @ West Florida* 1:00 pm Cleveland to continue Gulf South Conference play. The Buccaneers opened the season losing their first two games but then won the Mar. 7 Auburn-Montgomery * (DH) 12:00 pm next two games. CBU also competed in the McGhee-Hawkins Invitational. Julie Scheuermann also had a great weekend hitting .429 with three RBI, and one Mar. 28 Shorter University * (DH) 2:00 pm home run as well. Haley Simpson posted a .250 batting average with two doubles. Mary Sweatt finished the weekend with a .250 average.
