He guided JCSU to a 37-20 upset win over 1996 WSSU 2-5 4-7 .364 then Southern Division leading Fayetteville State. That win over the Broncos was 1995 WSSU 3-3-2 4-4-2 .500 the first of three straight wins for JCSU.
