The Municipality of El Nido is located in the northern-most tip of Palawan mainland. It lies between 11o27’ and 119o27’ latitude. It is bounded on the north by Linapacan Strait (Luzon Sea), on the east by Taytay Bay (Sulu Sea), on the south by the Municipality of Taytay, and on the west by South China Sea. It has a total land area of 92,326 hectares. This is 3.20 percent of the total land area of the Province of Palawan. The assessment was implemented by the Capacity-Building Team of the ECAN Zoning Component Project in collaboration with the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD). OVERVIEW OF PCRA The goal of the PCRA is to rapidly generate information on the coastal resources which will serve as inputs to the ECAN Zoning for environmental
