MASCOTS-Sorted Most to Least Submissions MASCOT COLORS WHY Blue Bird Royal Blue and Black Since the blue bird is the Missouri state bird, it will follow the theme of the school name (Capital City). Royal Blue is the color of the blue bird and black would be the secondary color matching our other High School (J C). Blue bird Powder blue and white Missouri state bird Blue bird Robins egg blue & white The blue bird is our state bird- links the high schools as well. Blue Bird Royal Blue and White The state bird is the blue bird and it fits with the other high school being a bird also. Blue bird navy blue and black To keep it in line with the current high school Blue bird Royal blue and white Because jays have a red bird and the other school can have a blue bird blue bird royal blue , red , and black for JC , we already have a jay bird so either we have the jay bird for both high schools or we have different birds .. and we combine the colors of TJ & LC into the new highs how Blue bird Dark blue and dark silver The mascot compares with the JC mascot. The colors because the blue would be a good color for a high school and silver because it goes with blue Blue Bird Blue bird blue and gold Blue bird is MO state’s bird. We have the Jays already. Blues and Jays of JC sound good. It’s catchy, “Go JC Blues!” Blue Bird Royal blue and golden yellow Because Jc high school is jay birds and their color is red and black. Blue bird Royal blue and black. To go with the Capital City theme, the bluebird is the Missouri State bird. Feeder school TJ is blue and red, so blue would continue that like LC continues red from their red and gold to JCHS. Blue bird Royal blue and titanium white The blue bird is the state bird and I think it would neat for both high schools to have birds. Blue for the bird. Plus the Jay Birds and the Blue Birds would compliment one another. The jays and red and black and that works well when announcing "Jeff city Jays". The "Capital City Cardinals" sounds equal to that. And The colors oppposite eachother. Both are similar birds that should be the others actual color. It makes similar feel for complimenting eachotherrand working together rather than to riveling and competing . The mascot is the Red Bird Jay It would be cool to have a "Red Jay" and a "Blue Jay" since we are all under one umbrella as a school district! Blue Jay Dark Royal Blue / White / BlackAll grow up “wanting to be a Jay”...this allows all to still be Jays! Blue Jay powder blue and navy blue with black and white as the outlining and accent colors.1. HOME of the Jays can still be used for PR. (Jasper the Jaybird and __________ the Blue Jay) 2. The blue jay mascot doesn't repeat any of the other Cole County high schools. 3. Jasper is a unique cartoon image one of a kind. I would like to see the Blue Jay have an image style that would be complementary to Jasper so when doing the PR they could balance each other. I hope the graphic arts department can be creative. 4. The two shades of blue would be bold like the red and black blue jay I think the school color should be royal blue and candy red. I think the committees should consider these options for a mascot because the mascot would go along with the other highschool because they are the red jays.I think the committee should consider the school colors because royal blue would be the color of the blue jay and the candy red would tie along with the colors of the other schools. I started to suggest blue and white for the colors, but I think blue and black would also be more unifying. Blue jay Royal blue and white Red, white and blue colors has both schools combine to make the United States flag colors. Brings both schools together in unity/patriotic symbol. Or if you actually want to tie into the Capital, go with Filibusters blue jay navy blue and black because of jay bird at the original highschool Blue Jay Royal blue and white It still resembles the “Jay Bird” theme, and once a jay always a jay no matter what high school. This allows the parents who attended JC who are now sending their children to the new highschool the ability to continue a sense of tradition. Having a blue jay as the mascot will carry over the tradition of jay pride and unite the school district while simultaneously displaying diversity. Blue Jay Royal blue and white Blue Jay is compatible with Jays. Blue and white are the colors of a Blue Jay. Blue Jay Cobalt Blue and White It goes perfect with the original Jays! Blue Jay Royal Blue & Black Stay with the same concept as the "red" Jays to unify the two schools. And have one common color for both schools. In this case - black. Blue Jay Powder blue and dark grey JC are the jaybirds so it would be cool to have the birds going against each other. MO is also known for our pretty birds so the colors will pop Blue Jay Royal Blue and Black It's different but the same. It gives the second HS it's own identity, but keeps with the current JCHS theme. I’m still amazed at the Jay pride everyone who went to JCHS seems to show.
