Motion Moved: Rick Hatcher Seconded: Marcus Bach-Armas The motion was moved, seconded, and approved unanimously. 1 MINUTES – August 11, 2017 Board Meeting Minutes (DRAFT) To be approved at second quarter Board Meeting Novemer 10, 2017 Financial Report Treasurer, Patrick Lawlor gave the following financial report to the Board: Fiscal Year (2016-2017) Budget vs. Actual (Restricted vs Privately Funded) The report was an overview of the 2016-2017 Fiscal Year Budget. Lawlor reported that FSF’s restricted expenses were a little over $5 million for the fiscal year, but the money FSF brought in to the state based on that budget is incredible. He also highlighted the increase of $294K in sales of professional team license plates. Lawlor mentioned a restricted net loss of $1M, but explained that it is because of our commitment to granting $1.5M to the Super Bowl in 2020. He then noted that overall we have increased our revenue in every other aspect of the budget. Restricted Revenues Restricted Revenue totaled $4,540,582 with the following items to note. 1. State Appropriations: $1,700,000 (FSG, SSG, Grant Program Funds) 2. Professional Team Tag Sales: $2,794,807 3. USOC Tag Revenue: $45,775 Restricted Expenses Restricted Expense line totaled $5,559,235 with the following items to note. 1. Operating, General & Administrative: $80,000 2. Program Expenses: $5,478,835 Restricted Net Loss Totaled: $1,018,652 Privately Funded Revenue Privately Funded Revenue totaled $1,075,847 with the following items to note. 1. Motion Moved: Michael Forde Seconded: Joanne Fava The motion was moved, seconded, and approved unanimously. 2 MINUTES – August 11, 2017 Board Meeting Minutes (DRAFT) To be approved at second quarter Board Meeting Novemer 10, 2017 Tag Sales Report Secretary, Rick Hatcher gave the following Tag Sales report to the Board: Professional Sports Teams Revenue Summary Secretary Hatcher discussed the tag report for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Hatcher reported that the tag sale revenue was just over $3 million with 121,513 tags sold. This is a 3% increase from the 2015-2016 fiscal year with a raise in revenue of $102K and a raise in tag sales of 4,088. The FSF received about $2.7 million of the tag sales revenue, which is a net increase of around $94K compared to the 2015-2016 fiscal year. Hatcher applauded the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for having the largest increase in tag sales. Specialty Tag Teams Revenue Summary Rick Hatcher noted that the USOC tag is down one tag sale from last year.
