At 2000 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in Ayn Tarma, killing Staff Sergeant Muhammad Darwish and wounding another officer. 2. At 2100 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group abducted three law enforcement forces officers, including a lieutenant colonel, in Darayya. The group beat, injured and then released the officers, who were taken to the hospital. 3. At 2200 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in Duma, killing Sergeant Wa'd Issa and wounding three officers. 4. At 2200 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group abducted Colonel Talal Matar on the Tall-Hurnah road and stole his weapon and car, licence plate No. 94107. 5. At 2230 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group planted an explosive device on the Ma'damiyah-Jayrud road. Military engineers defused the device. 6. At 2310 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group fired two projectiles at the headquarters of the Military Technical Institute, wounding a guard. 7. At 0300 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a law enforcement checkpoint in Sahnaya, killing Sergeant Husayn al-Haws. 8. At 0500 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on military housing guards in Judaydat Artuz, killing Conscript Sulayman Yunus. 9. At 1400 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in Rif Dimashq, killing Corporal Abdul'aziz Ballul. 10. At 1400 hours, an armed terrorist group stole a Mercedes truck, licence plate No. 397450, from its civilian driver, Rashid Banikhar, in the area of Nashabiyah. 11. At 1430 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a civilian bus transporting law enforcement officers on overnight leave as it passed on the Qudsaya road, wounding three officers. 12. At 1445 hours, an armed terrorist group detonated an explosive device as a civilian bus returning law enforcement officers from overnight leave was passing in the area of the Tall Manin bridge, killing nine officers and wounding a number of officers. 2 12-56969 (C) S/2012/496 13. At 1655 hours, a rocket hit and damaged the dialysis room on the sixth floor of the Police Hospital. 14. In the city of Harasta, an armed terrorist group fired two rocket-propelled grenades towards the traffic branch and criminal security branch, causing no injuries or damage. Fire was returned. 15. An armed terrorist group abducted Khalid Mur'ishli in the town of Qudsaya. 16. In the town of Babila, an armed terrorist group killed Warrant Officer Salman Salman al-Muhammad (born 1972) in front of his home in Assali. 17. In the city of Darayya, an armed terrorist group stole an Audi, licence plate No. 597201 (Damascus), from its owner, Muhammad Nuraldin Ali. 18. Armed terrorists opened fire on a civilian, Isam Faris Abdulbaqi, who was rushed to Darayya National Hospital. 19. Five bodies were found in the Ma'damiyah orchards in the Darayya area. Three of them were identified as belonging to Fayiz Ghalib al-Munjad, Maysar Zuhayr Hamadah and Mahmud Ali Abdulbaqi, all civilians. Two of the bodies were mutilated. 20. In the city of Qatana, an armed terrorist group comprising seven terrorists stole a Kia truck, licence plate No. 254231 (Rif Dimashq), carrying two tons of cherries from its driver, Jamal Fandi Nasr, and 200,000 Syrian pounds. 21. Retired Chief Warrant Officer Walid Faris As'ad (born 1955) was shot in the chest and killed as he worked. 22. An armed terrorist group stole a Government Mazda double-cabin pickup, licence plate No. 539297 (Damascus), assigned to the Ayn al-Fijah water unit in Judaydat Artuz. 23. Fire was opened on the checkpoint located near the Yusuf al-Azmah suburb checkpoint and on the housing of families of personnel working in the law enforcement forces. 24. In the village of Qudsaya, an armed terrorist group stole a Government Hyundai, licence plate No. 733360 (Damascus). 25. Armed terrorists stormed the Syrian-Saudi Dairy Company in Shaffuniyah and stole its contents. 26. In the town of Babila, the body of an unidentified person was found dumped in an abandoned room on the road connecting the Tadamun quarter with the town of Babila. Damascus governorate 27. An armed terrorist group riding in a car opened fire on the recruitment branch on Baghdad Street and then escaped. 12-56969 (C) 3 S/2012/496 28. Armed terrorists riding in a car attacked a law enforcement patrol on the Fayha' orchards side of the Azbakiyah traffic signal. Law enforcement officers were able to stop the car. 29. An explosive device was detonated next to a bus of the law enforcement and security forces on the left side of Nahr road, opposite Turbah, causing shrapnel wounds and contusions to eight officers returning from law enforcement and security duties in Qabun and damaging the bus. Another explosive device exploded 20 metres away from the first device. Shortly thereafter, another device exploded without causing any injuries. 30. In Assali, the body of an unidentified man in his 40s was found with two gunshot wounds. 31. Ghayyath Dalul Ibn Afif (born 1974) and his two brothers, Muhammad (born 1986) and Isma'il (born 1989) were admitted to the hospital after armed terrorists opened fire on and wounded them in front of their home in Tadamun. 32. The body of a man in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound to the head on Maliki Street in Tadamun. 33. Armed terrorists opened fire from Tali' Lane in the vicinity of the Balun restaurant on a Maydan police department patrol and law enforcement officers positioned under the ring road bridge. Fire was returned, and the terrorists were overtaken and then escaped. The terrorists hit a Suzuki, licence plate No. 621254 (Damascus), belonging to Zakariya Hurriyatani Ibn Muhammad (born 1978). Dar'a governorate 34. At 2030 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a law enforcement checkpoint in the town of Mahajjah, wounding nine officers, including a first lieutenant and a lieutenant. 35. At 2100 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a law enforcement patrol as it was passing in Dar'a. 36. At 1900 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers at the Abazayd water tank in the Dar'a city centre, wounding one officer. Homs governorate 42. At 2100 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in the village of Dhiyabiyah-Qusayr, wounding one officer. 43. At 2200 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in the city of Qusayr, wounding two officers. 44. At 2200 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened heavy fire on and fired mortars and threw hand grenades at law enforcement officers in the Qusur quarter. 45. At 2200 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in the village of Daminah Sharqiyah-Qusayr, wounding two officers. 46. At 2237 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire from the direction of Bab Turkman and the Warshah quarter on law enforcement officers in Bab al-Siba', wounding two officers. 47. At 2300 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in the vicinity of the oil pipeline in the village of Sultaniyah. 48. At 2200 hours on 22 June 2012, an armed terrorist group opened fire on a military barracks in Ghantu, wounding four soldiers, including an officer. 49. At 0045 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on and fired a mortar at law enforcement officers in the village of Tall Shur. 50. At 0205 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers in the vicinity of the Mihasiyah turnoff, east of Busayri in Tadmur killing Sergeant Marwan Tarrad and wounding another officer. 51. At 0245 hours, an armed terrorist group opened fire on law enforcement officers next to the blood bank in the Wa'r quarter.
