Choorstefe 15, Leiden, haa been refused a visa to orne to Geneva by the Swiss Consul in that town. '■le are informed by the European Student Relief Associatinn that Mr. Sohokking, whose services are absolutely indispensable in connection with their Russian Refugee work in Geneva, could not possibly be replaced by anyone else, and I am requested by the High Commissioner to ask if you would be so good as to take the necessary steps with your Gove n .ent in order to ascertain whether, in the special cir­ cumstances, it is not possible for the decision in regard to the granting of the visa to Mr. Schokting to be reversed.
