Citation These regulations are the Building Amendment Regulations (No. 2) 2020. 2. Commencement These regulations come into operation as follows — (a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day. 3. Regulations amended These regulations amend the Building Regulations 2012. 4. Regulation 15C inserted At the end of Part 2 insert: 15C. Modifications to Building Code (s. 150) (1) This regulation modifies the text of the Building Code. (2) The Building Code Volume One Part J0.2 is modified to delete paragraph (a) and insert: (a) for reducing the heating or cooling loads— (i) collectively achieve an average energy rating of not less than 6 stars; and 834 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 31 March 2020 (ii) individually achieve an energy rating of not less than 5 stars, using house energy rating software; and (3) The Building Code Volume Two Part 3.12.0.1 is modified as follows — (a) in paragraph (a) delete “A building must achieve an energy rating, including the separate heating and cooling load limits, using house energy rating software, of greater than or equal to—” and insert: To reduce heating or cooling loads, a building must achieve an energy rating, using house energy rating software, of not less than— (b) delete paragraph (b). Citation These regulations are the Juries Amendment Regulations 2020. 2. Commencement These regulations come into operation as follows — (a) regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette; (b) the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day. 31 March 2020 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 835 3. Regulations amended These regulations amend the Juries Regulations 2008. 4. Regulation 4 amended Delete regulation 4(2) and insert: (2) If a person loses income as a result of a day or part-day of jury service and the loss is greater than the fee prescribed under subregulation (1), the summoning officer may, on application by the person, pay a fee for the day that equals the loss. (3) The fee payable under subregulation (2) cannot exceed $1 000 unless the summoning officer is satisfied that — (a) the person’s lost income is greater than $1 000; and (b) not paying a fee equal to the loss would cause undue hardship to the person. (4) The application must — (a) be in a form approved by the summoning officer; and (b) include or be accompanied by the information required by the summoning officer; and (c) be made within 3 months after the last day of the period of jury service. (5) Despite subregulation (4)(c), the summoning officer may extend the period for making an application for a further period not exceeding 1 year if satisfied that exceptional circumstances exist. 5. Schedule 3 amended In Schedule 3 Form 3: (a) delete “section 23H(4)” and insert: section 32H(4) (b) delete “Sheriffs” and insert: Sheriff’s N. HAGLEY, Clerk of the Executive Council. ——————————— 836 GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, WA 31 March 2020 LOCAL GOVERNMENT LG301 BUSH FIRES ACT 1954 LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1995 City of Rockingham REPEAL LOCAL LAW 2019 Under the powers conferred by the Local Government Act 1995, the Bush Fires Act 1954 and all other powers enabling it, the Council of the City of Rockingham resolved on 24 March 2020 to make the following local law— 1. Citation This local law is cited as the City of Rockingham Repeal Local Law 2019. 2. Commencement This local law comes into operation 14 days after its publication in the Government Gazette. 3. Bush Fire Control and Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2001 repealed The City of Rockingham Bush Fire Control and Bush Fire Brigades Local Law 2001 published in the Government Gazette on 7 November 2001 as amended on 10 September 2010 is repealed.
