The Town Council has considered the issues and believes that the appropriate size for Milton Keynes Council should be 60 members to reflect the current and predicted population growth in the borough. Olney Town Council has had a long standing policy that the Olney ward should remain a multiple member ward rather than being sub‐divided into two wards, and we wish that this policy objective is maintained in this review. Regards Liam Costello Town Clerk Olney Town Council 18/06/2012 BOW BRICKHILL PARISH COUNCIL The Review Officer (Milton Keynes), Local Government Boundary Commission for England, Layden House, 76-86 Turnmill Street, London. EC1M 5LG. 15th June 2012 Dear Sirs, RE: ELECTORAL REVIEW OF MILTON KEYNES This matter was discussed at our Parish Council meeting on Thursday 14th June 2012. It was agreed by the Council that firstly, this is the wrong time for an electoral review due to many homes still being built across Milton Keynes and therefore the ratio will change. 51 Councillors may be the correct amount, however, Bow Brickhill Parish Council at present are within a single member ward and feel it important to remain this way, retaining the village links we currently enjoy with Little Brickhill, Woburn Sands and Wavendon Village and therefore retaining the integrity of the village. We would therefore appreciate you taking these comments into account and noting that Bow Brickhill Parish Council are against proposals of becoming a three member ward. Yours faithfully, Debbie Mayer Parish Clerk Bow Brickhill Parish Council Page 1 of 1 Skerten, Alex From: Dominic Warner [ Sent: 18 June 2012 09:15 To: Re views@ Subject: Electoral Review of Milton Keynes Council Dear Sir, Re: Electoral Review of Milton Keynes Council Please accept this e‐mail as confirmation that at the May 2012 meeting of Campbell Park Parish Council, it was resolved that future best interests of the residents of Milton Keynes would be served by a Council consisting of 57 Members. I would confirm that West Bletchley Council considered the matter of “council size” for Milton Keynes th Council, as requested, at a meeting held on Monday 11 June 2012. Its comments were as follows: “West Bletchley Council considers that: - 51 councillors is an insufficient number to effectively represent the interests of all Milton Keynes’ various communities and that the number should be increased to 57.” Could you please confirm safe receipt of our comments?
