The objects of the WAFCC are to: ▪ provide strategic leadership on female cricket for Western Australia; ▪ encourage female participation in cricket in Western Australia at a playing, coaching, umpiring and volunteering level, and as administrators, fans, spectators and viewers; ▪ appoint a representative on the Western Australian Cricket Association (WACA) Statewide Game Development Committee; ▪ represent the interests of the Competition and its cricketers; ▪ oversee and, as appropriate direct (with the support of resources of the WACA), the administration of the WA Female Premier Cricket Competition including playing conditions, rules and by laws; and ▪ make recommendations on persons associated with female cricket for WACA related or community honours. The purpose of the Committee is to provide a forum for the WAFCC, WACA and clubs to develop, review and evaluate the female club competition. The Terms of Reference for this committee can be found of the WA Premier Cricket website here. The key functions of the Committee are to: • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the competition such as the Rules & Playing Conditions, current policies and objectives of the WAFCC • Provide feedback and recommend improvements to the competition regarding its structures and procedures, such as Rules & Playing Conditions and Fixturing to benefit the wellbeing of the competition as a whole Delegates are appointed by Clubs who have one or more teams participating in the Female Premier Cricket Competition. Each club appoints one delegate, who will share one vote. Provide direction as the Head coach for the overall development of players within the Senior and Youth Academies. The Microsoft Teams App will be used for the 2020/21 season as the main communication tool between WACA HP staff and Premier Cricket Clubs with female teams. Invited to join from each Premier Cricket Club: • Coaches & assistant coaches for each team (A Grade, B Grade, Youth League); • Female Cricket Coordinators, Secretaries &/or Coaching Directors (as applicable for each PC club); • PCDC Delegates; • Other (please request if you have other personnel you would like to include). Setting Up Teams • For mobiles, access is via the App (please download); • In Windows, click Start > Microsoft Corporation > Microsoft Teams; • On Mac, go to the Applications folder and click Microsoft Teams. Create a Log In (if you already have a login, you do not need to do anything else). Team Invitation We will send you an invitation to join the WACA - Female Premier Cricket 2020/2021 Team, which you will be able to access if you have created a Teams login. We will assume your Teams login email is the one which we have on record for you, unless you advise us otherwise. Using Teams There are numerous online tutorials about how to use Microsoft Teams, so please refer to these as required. WACA staff are also happy to provide assistance if needed. A Premier Cricket Circular is distributed weekly by the Competitions & Operations Manager to all Club Presidents, Secretaries and Delegates. The email includes all updates for both the Men and Female Premier Cricket Competitions along with other key notices. • The 2020-21 Premier Cricket Season starts on 1st July 2020, with all players deregistered. • Submit in Club Uniform Design changes for approval by 31st July 2020. • Complete 2020-21 Club Return Forms & Financials for prior season and return by 17th August 2020. • Complete Insurance Checklist for Registration (see MyCricket Administration below for process). • Player Registrations & Clearances open. All player registrations are deactivated and need to be re- registered for the upcoming season in MyCricket (see MyCricket Administration below for process). • Player Registrations & Clearances window will close at 5pm on 31st January 2021. All club personnel involved in any junior teams or with junior players in an official capacity, including the Club President and other committee members, are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check. Australian Cricket Child Safety Framework provides information and guidance about all relevant requirements and best practices to ensure a robust system is in place to create secure environment for all children & youth. Click Administration tab on top right of the screen. Then, ‘Organisation > Insurance – Register’ and follow the instructions. Update ‘Insurance – Team Numbers’ tab as required.
