HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION ANNUAL REPORT 2018-2019 Celebrating 30 Years of Service to Students, Another Teachers, and the Lake Park Community Successful Year! 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of the Lake Park High School Educational Foundation. This anniversary is perhaps an opportune time to reflect on the Foundation’s growth and 2018-19 was another very productive year for the Lake development over the years and its plans for the future as it continues to pursue its mission Park High School Educational of making a difference for those who call and have called Lake Park “home.” Foundation. Celebrating 2 LAKE PARK HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION // 2018-2019 ANNUAL REPORT years The Foundation Grows in Scope and Focus - 2005-2019 EDUCATIONAL Building on its early success, the Foundation expanded its efforts by initiating the new FOUNDATION programs and community-based activities listed below. This year, proceeds from the sale Kristin Olsen of box suites netted a profit of $4,624. Families purchasing a box suite are given preferred parking and take in graduation ceremonies in a reserved setting with family SUPPORT THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE members while enjoying refreshments provided by the Foundation. COMMENCEMENT BOX SUITES Celebrating 4 LAKE PARK HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION // 2018-2019 ANNUAL REPORT years FOUNDATION PROGRAMS Collaboration - Night of Fine Dining and Theatre In the 2004-05 school year, the Foundation began working with the school’s Family and Consumer Projects Science and Fine Arts departments to create a Night of Fine Dining and Theatre program. At the program, $25,500 the East Campus cafeteria is transformed into a Community members at the Night of magical place where parents and community Fine Dining prior to attending the night’s members can sample from an elegant menu of taste play, Almost Maine delights prepared by Lake Park’s culinary arts students before attending a student drama production. In 2013, a silent auction for event participants was added to the program. Proceeds from the silent auction, which has raised over $25,500, are used to support various Foundation projects.
