It is a perennial favourite for members of our club to attend.
Thank you to everyone who assisted and indeed attended our big birthday bash weekend. Despite being a touch on the warm side ! things went well on the runs to visit the car collections and I thought Saturday night was an enjoyable time. Sunday was a little cooler which resulted in a well attended picnic lunch and birthday cake ( thank you Robyn Absolon ) in Jugiong, with interesting cars, good camaraderie and a bit of fun.
On the 28th March the AHMF week long rally (Australian Historic Motoring Federation ) and based in Albury, will be attended by Daina and Ken Trethewey and Lin and I. Are there any others attending ?

So there is plenty on the calendar in the next weeks. !

Speaking of the excellent commemorative calendars, the club has plenty for sale at $10. Contact one of the Committee members if you would like to purchase any.
I would particularly like to thank Keith and Sandra Berryman, Paul and Judy Braybrooks and Graham and Robyn Snape for their efforts and hospitality in opening their car collections to us all.
Yours with Grace, Space and Pace

Mal
They say life begins at forty, so I wonder what is next ?

P S. Just a small extra note this time. Being the Jaguar fan that I am, I had my bike ready for

“Simpy’s Run around the lake”. A pity this was

cancelled because I would have blown them into the weeds. !
Well, what is next for our club is to host the

South West Get Together this year on

Saturday 28th March at the Cootamundra Airport. This yearly get together with over 100 people anticipated to attend, will be especially interesting with the addition of the Vintage Sports Car Club of Australia running timed

sprints on the Airport Runway during the day.

Invitations for this Get Together have been sent to all clubs, about 28 in total, and now, please, we do need an indication of numbers of people intending to come. This will assist Can Assist who are catering for the lunch on the day. Contact John Collins or Malcolm Chaplin. Thank you. A recent phone call from Shannon’s Insurance has resulted in a $400 sponsorship for the event. This will be used to provide lucky entry prizes.

In return, we will mention Shannon’s in our club

magazine , which Hon Sec , John Collins, has in hand, and Shannons will also be present in a marquee on the day.

In the meantime the Kalimna Rally, organised by Wodonga Historic Car Club, will be held the first weekend in March.
